Wmo support for adults
Do you want more grip on your day, your home, your money or your contacts? Our support workers help you step by step, at your own pace, with respect for your background. You set the goals; we help you reach them. At home with one-to-one support through the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act), or together with other people at our daytime activities in Leiden.
Youth Turn started with young people. The same approach, close to your world and without judgement, works just as well for adults. That is why we support adults of all ages through the Wmo. Is the care becoming heavier and permanent? Then we think along with you about the move to the Wlz (the Dutch Long-Term Care Act).

Grip on your days again
The days run into each other, post piles up, appointments get missed. Together we bring in structure, and you stay in charge of what changes.
Independent, with support that fits
You want to do it yourself, but some things just do not work right now. We practise skills so that you can do as much as possible yourself. Do you need support for longer or permanently? That is possible too.
Calm in the application process
A Wmo application quickly feels like a maze: report, conversation, decision. We explain every step in plain language and think along with you. Feel free to call before you apply for anything: 071 - 234 01 32, or email your question to wmo@youthturn.nl.
Support that fits you
Who it is for
For adults who want support with daily life. For example with autism, low mood or depression, PTSD, anxiety, personality problems, an eating problem or early dementia. We help with structure, skills, contacts and sorting things out with official bodies. Our support workers work in a culturally sensitive way: they take your language, culture and faith into account. We do that for everyone, whatever your background.
Referral & funding
This support falls under the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act). You report yourself (or someone applies for you) at the Wmo desk or the social neighbourhood team of your municipality. The municipality carries out an investigation and issues a beschikking (the municipality's formal decision). After that the support can start. We provide this help as zorg in natura (ZIN, care in kind): the municipality pays us directly. What does it cost you? The municipality can ask for a personal contribution. You pay that to the CAK, the national organisation that collects personal contributions. The current amount is on hetcak.nl. Do you have a Wlz (the Dutch Long-Term Care Act) indication? You are welcome with us then too: our support and daytime activities can be bought with a pgb (personal care budget). Do you live somewhere else? Just call us and we will find out together what is possible. See all the areas we cover →
Waiting time
For Wmo support and daytime activities we have no waiting list. We do take the time for a good match: the right support worker with the right client. In our most recent client satisfaction survey (2025), clients gave us an average score of 8.4; in the survey before that (2023) it was an 8.6. Feel free to call: then we will tell you how quickly we can start.
Apply
Apply through the application page, call 071 - 234 01 32 or email aanmelden@youthturn.nl. No Wmo decision yet? We are happy to explain how the application works in your municipality.
Daytime activities: a place to rebuild your day
Sometimes support at home is not enough and it helps to get out of the house. At our daytime activities at the Valkenpad in Leiden you work in a small, safe group on rhythm, contact and self-confidence. We work calmly and step by step, with attention for your recovery and your background. The threshold is low: you can come and have a look first. With us it is not only the goal that counts, but also the way there.
Activation
Building structure, breaking through isolation and making contact with other people again, at your own pace.
Meaning & experience
Working on self-confidence, calm and personal growth, with activities that have meaning for you.
Work-based & development
Light forms of work and strengthening skills, a step towards (voluntary) work or school.
Who it is for
For adults (18+) with a Wmo or Wlz indication who need structure in their day, recovery-focused support, social activation or development towards work. Together we look at which group suits you best, with a mix of creative, activating and work-based activities.

Start with a conversation, not with a form
Call or apply. First we calmly take a look with you: what is going on and what do you need? Also when you do not have a Wmo decision yet.
